Start of 2010-2011 Season! - 07SEP! ... YeeHaa!!!

Tuesday, the 07SEP, will be the first practice of the new season @ the Vancouver Aquatic Centre. We will be making a few presentations in between the 2 workouts so please try to be on the pool deck by 6.45pm if you are a 7pm swimmer. See you then!



6PM Workout is now full!

Please note that when filling out the EBSC waiver form and it asks which time slot you prefer, that we have temporarily halted adding people to the 6pm slot as it is now full. Please check the 7pm box. You may still 'stand-by' to swim @ 6pm but you will have to wait until 10mins to the hour (when the check-in desk closes) to see if space is still available. Thx! :)



MONTHLY WORKOUT CALENDAR - SEPTEMBER '10:

Note: VAC = Vancouver Aquatic Centre, SC = short course (25m), LC = long course (50m)

Coaches: K = Khosro, M = Marianne, S = Suzie, L = Leanne, C = Carl

  • Tue 07 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/M & S) : Basic Free swim and drill and Kick fins may be used (2000m-2600m)
  • Thu 09 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/L & C) : Basic free/back work on body position and kick. Fins may be used. Lots of drills (2000m-2600m)
  • Sat 11 SEP 2010 - VAC (LC/M) : Free, Breast plus some kicking (2600m-3800m)
  • Sun 12 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/S) : Free, fly drill fins may be used, some kick (3000y-4000y)
  • Tue 14 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/K & M) : Free and Fly Drills and kick some fins may be used some Dolphin kick (2100m-2700m)
  • Thu 16 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/K & L) : Free and Back Drills with some kicking (2100m-2700m)
  • Sat 18 SEP 2010 - VAC (LC/M) : Free pull and Back Drills, Dolphin and breaststroke kick (2700m-3900m)
  • Sun 19 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/S) : Free and fly drills with kicking Some I.M swimming (3000y-4000y)
  • Tue 21 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/M & K) : Free and Breast with lots of drills and kicking (2100m-2700m)
  • Thu 23 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/L & K) : Back and Fly with kick and drills (2100m-2700m)
  • Sat 25 SEP 2010 - VAC (LC/M) : Distance of 150m free and mixed with back 6 times with moderate interval focus on DPS (2600m-3800m)
  • Sun 26 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/S) : Mix of stroke with free work on some turns for slower lanes (2700y-3800y)
  • Thu 28 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/K & M) : I.M. moderate with lots of kicking (2300m-2800m)
  • Thu 30 SEP 2010 - VAC (SC/K & L) : ***The Set!***

    Note: We normally have one person manning the check-in desk for both the 6pm & the 7pm workouts so, in order to make things move more smoothly, you could help us in 2 ways - first, by arriving earlier then normal and - second, by practicing your buddha patience. :)

    The following list describes our typical workout pattern.

    All workouts are at VAC (Vancouver Aquatic Centre - 1050 Beach Avenue, Vancouver) unless noted otherwise.

    IMPORTANT: The check-in desk closes 10mins prior to practice and, if you arrive late, unfortunately, due to insurance policies, you cannot join the workout.



    Day & Time
    • Tuesday 6:00pm-7:00pm/7:00pm-8:00pm (two identical 60min workouts/25m short course)
    • Thursday 6:00pm-7:00pm/7:00pm-8:00pm (two identical 60min workouts/25m short course)
    • Saturday 5:00pm-6:30pm (a 90min workout/50m long course)
    • Sunday 10:00am-11:30am (a 90min workout/25y short course)
