SPRING sessions
English Bay Swim Club (EBSC), Vancouver's LGBT2Q*-and-allies Master's Swim Club, is once again offering its popular Master's 101 Program returning this Spring. This 6-week program will run on Sunday Mornings and will provide focused coaching to 12 swimmers.
Session dates will be on March 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5 and 12.
Sessions will be 45-minutes long, and will take swimmers with a basic ability (see below) and help them improve swim technique, learn new strokes, and build endurance in the pool. The program will also show participants how a typical swim workout is structured, and how to read a pace clock.
We hope that at the end you will be able to swim 200 metres continuously and comfortably, you will know a few more swim strokes than you do now, and may be able to swim up to 1600 metres over the course of an hour. More importantly, we hope you'll enjoy the experience enough to join EBSC as a member!
All genders and orientations welcome! The cost of this program is a great value at $70 for the full 6 weeks.
Once registered, you can help speed things up at the check-in desk by making sure you have your confirmation email(s) on hand for the first day.

Participants should:
- Be able to swim 100 metres (4 lengths of a 25-metre pool, 2 lengths of a 50-metre pool, or 5 lengths of a 25-yard pool) of front crawl (also called Freestyle) continuously
- Know at least one of the other Master's swim strokes, i.e. Back stroke (also known as Back Crawl), Breast stroke, and/or Butterfly
